We invite you to come spend a few days with us in this very serene & relaxing setting located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of southwest Virginia. Step out the front door and you are on the bank of the Little River where you can relax with a book, enjoy a picnic, or just listen to the sounds of nature.

Just a few minutes drive will have you in town. We are close to all that the area has to offer in the way of music, arts & crafts, antiquing, wineries, hiking & biking, and of course the breathtaking scenery of the Blueridge Mountains.

Music lovers often visit Floyd. For such a small town, a surprising number of world class bands can often be heard performing at one of many venues downtown or close by. You will definitely not want to miss the famous Friday Night Jamboree at The Floyd Country Store.

About Floyd:


First settled in the 1750’s atop a plateau of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Floyd has a rich history of music & crafts that is still going strong today.  In fact it is noted that Floyd has the highest number of creative people per capita than any other place in Virginia. With 'deep roots’ in Bluegrass and Old Time Music, it is a one of the major sites along The Crooked Road (Virginia's Heritage Music Trail), and the site of FloydFest, a widely attended world music festival held every summer.  In town there is a music store that has the largest selection of bluegrass & old-time music in the world!  Floyd also has a number of good restaurants to choose from and several coffee houses where you can enjoy a fine cappuccino & pastry and live-music.
